About Me

I am an ecologist that investigates pollination ecology at multiple scales, from entire plant-pollinator communities to the fine-scale aspects of both the pollinator and plant side of these interactions. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Neal Williams' lab at University of California at Davis researching how heat stress impacts both the plant and pollinator side of sunflower hybrid seed production. I employ a systems-ecology approach to unravel complex interactions between plants and pollinators to evaluate pollinator conservation habitats, understand pollinator foraging behavior and effectiveness, and determine the impact of stress on plant fruit or seed set. My research advances our knowledge of plant-pollinator interactions and how to improve conservation and agricultural production simultaneously.

I completed my PhD research in 2024 with Dr. Amy Toth at Iowa State University. Then I conducted postdoctoral research with Drs. Laura Figueroa and Lynn Adler at University of Massachusetts at Amherst from 2024-2026. My goal is to become a professor to help mentor the next generation of young scientists and make university research more accessible to the general public.
